Why do I need to confirm my email address?

Most importantly, we just want to make sure you actually have control of the email address and that no typos were made when signing up.

Additionally, there are some identity sensitive features that require a confirmed address. For example, if you’d like to claim Ghost matches that were assigned to your email address, they won’t be transferred until you confirm your email address.
